Multiplayer Word Rush
How To Play Multiplayer Word Rush
Word Rush is a crossword-style game that will challenge your vocabulary and patience. You try to make words from your rack of letters. The words must cross letters already on the board.
GameScene Multiplayer Word Rush is played by two people over a standard Internet connection. The first player enters the lobby and uses the button at the upper left corner to create a table. Then he or she returns to the lobby to chat with other people there. When a player wants to challenge the first player, he or she simply clicks on the table listed, and is connected to the first player. Providing that the first player accepts the challenge, the game then begins.
Game play in GameScene Multiplayer Word Rush involves players taking turns. When it is your turn, you will need to use one or more of your nine letters to make a word. Drag and drop each letter on to the playing area. The word must use at least one letter already on the screen, but it can use more. If your letters also touch other letters on the screen, they must form valid words. In these cases, the word combination with the highest number of points is awarded, but not both words.
You can also pass during a turn. Use this if you feel you cannot make a word with your letters. When you pass, all of your letters will be replaced with new ones and you turn is over.
A valid word is one that is in the game's internal dictionary. This dictionary contains about 40,000 basic words. Most plurals that use an 's' are NOT valid words in this game. Neither are words that use suffixes, like 'ed' or 'ing'. If the word is not in the dictionary, you will be told and given the chance to try another word.
Scoring is based on the number of letters in the word you make. You get one point per letter, whether that letter was one you placed, or one that was already on the board. If one of your new letters if on a space with a '+2' or a '+5', you also score those extra points.
The goal of the game is to get to 60 points. The first player to do so will be declared the winner.
