GameScene Multiplayer Games
With the GameScene Multiplayer Games, you can play against a live opponent located somewhere else in the world! To start, just choose a name, indicate your location, and choose a game you'd like to play. Other people can challenge you to the game of your choice, or you can challenge someone else to the game that they'd like to play. Once you are in the game lobby, you can see the other people waiting to play. Wait for someone to challenge you, or click on someone to challenge them. When you start, you can also choose the "Turn Chat Off" option. Please use this is you are worried about what others may say to you in the game. The chat is unmoderated. Here is what you should know before playing the multiplayer games:

Chat Rules:

No abusive language is allowed in the chat areas of the GameScene Multiplayer Games. Abusive language can be something other than just using curse words, it is anything that appears to be threatening or derogatory to another person. If you use abusive language and a system administrator catches you, you will be banned. You may or may not get a warning. Once you are banned, you, or anyone else using your computer, cannot play the GameScene Multiplayer Games again. You can also get banned for impersonating a CleverMedia employee or system administrator. If you provoke a system administrator or ask to be banned, you will be banned. You can also be banned for discussing anything illegal. In fact, CleverMedia reserves the right to banned anyone for any reason. The goal of these rules is to make the GameScene Multiplayer Games a better place to play games.

Other players do not know who you are.

All you need to do to play the two-player games is to make up a name for yourself. You can make up a new name every time you play. Someone else can also choose the same name. The only purpose for these names is so that you can address other players with something other than "player number X". If we were to have fixed, unique names for each player, then everyone would have to register with an email address, which opens a whole other can of worms. Besides, then we'd be just like every other multiplayer game site, and we like to be different.

You don't know who other players are.

Do not assume that other players are who they say they are. A player can choose any name to play with at any time. Do not assume that the same name is the same person at a later time.

Other players cannot find out anything about you.

In the past, some players have claimed to know who other players really are and what their email address and such are. They are lying. There is no way that they can get this information from the GameScene Multiplayer Games. GameScene does not ask you for this information and it does not exist on our servers. Unless you specifically use chat to tell someone else who you are, they can never use the GameScene Multiplayer Games to find that out.

We know who you are.

While we don't really know who you are and anything about you, our server does know your IP address. The truth is, EVERY sever on the Internet knows this. If you are caught breaking the law -- such as threatening other people, we can turn this information over to the authorities and they can find you. So play nice.

This site is not kid-safe, but...

A lot of people chat in the GameScene Multiplayer Games and a lot of people play games. There is a lot of adult language used. We don't recommend that kids play here, or anywhere that is unmonitored (which includes almost all multiplayer game sites). However, please realize that most of this "adult language" is from OTHER KIDS. That's right, the same kids that may be playing with your kids in schoolyards and playgrounds are the ones using objectionable language.
